Porcelain Veneers Glossary
Ceramic - name given to a group of heat-resistant, mineral-based materials that are molded and fired. Porcelain is one such material.
Composite resin - a material used to make one type of dental veneer. Composite resin is made up of several substances.
Curing - a process in which a light is shone on bonding cement in order to facilitate hardening.
Dental veneers - see "porcelain veneers."
Porcelain - see "ceramic."
Porcelain veneers - also known as dental veneers and tooth veneers; thin shells of ceramic material applied to the front of the teeth in order to create a more aesthetically pleasing smile.
Tooth enamel - a thin, hard, white substance that covers the tooth.
